Learn to train
November 3 @ 7:00 pm - November 5 @ 12:00 pm
This November Learn To Train Seminar promises to be an excellent learning opportunity for our region skaters. Having not one but two amazing, highly trained c coaches working with the skaters will provide an excellent opportunity to build skills. The seminar is sponsored by the Kootenay region helping to keep the costs low and the ice time high!
The Kootenay Region requires Data input officers for our 3 competitions. This is a very low commitment job that only requires a few hours during upper level freeskate events at competitions. Anyone including skaters 16 years of age and up are able to learn the job. We are planning to have the computer system set up so that you can see what the role requires and try it out in real time with no pressure. Please let us know if you or your skater would like to train for the job so that we bring enough resource materials.
The regular Fall meeting of the Kootenay Region will be held in conjunction with the seminar. We are also offering some “learn the sport” clinic in “hosting a competition” and “Test Chairman roles”. These sessions are open to anyone even if you are not in these rolls or planning to host a competition in the next two seasons. We encourage you to take advantage of the excellent resource people in our region no question is a dumb one and if we don’t have answer immediately we will get you one!
click on the link below and get registered for the fun. Please note the clinic is only open to those skaters who will be competing at a STAR 4 or above level. It is a requirement for making the region team as well so please keep that in mind.
Happy Skating, if you have any question please let me know.
